I really enjoyed the immersion activity, I'd always known that being gay in a straight society was difficult but I never thought about it to a personal level (if that makes sense). I couldn't imagine being scared to tell my friends or family if I was seeing someone.

On a completely different note I had a conversation with a coworker over the week about gay marriage and he equated it to murder. His exact words were "If gays can marry whoever they want I should be able to kill whoever I want." It baffles me that some people actually feel this way. Those two topics are not even on the same plain. Has anyone else ever encountered something like this???
